My gymnastics career began as a competitive gymnast from age 8 to the age of 16. I worked hard for many years moving through the gymnastics levels. Qualifying and competing in many state meets and qualified and was competitive in regional competitions several times. My years of training lead me to start teaching gymnastics in 1995 for a local gymnastics center. I moved on to teach at several different facilities over the years. I also received a Graphic Communication degree at Arkansas State University.
I was raised here in Jonesboro. I have one daughter who is in the Jonesboro School District. I have always wanted more ways for children in the community to have different options for healthy living. I started my gymnastics career at a very young age. I competed in gymnastics for 6 years. While I was a competitive gymnast I was state champion on Vault, Beam and Floor. After leaving gymnastics I started dancing competitively for 6 years. I started teaching gymnastics at the age of 16. When I was 20 I started coaching gymnastics on the competitive level. I did this for 4 years and took a break from gymnastics for a while. I worked in the medical field for 13 years but never lost my love for gymnastics! I started coaching again in 2015. With the love that I have for this sport and the love I have working with children I couldn’t think of a better way to spend my life than opening a gymnastics facility for the children of our community.
